Let's finally do these specials the justice they deserve, know that I judge Anime based off of the genre they represent, not by arbitrary numbers. I rate Action anime by Action, Romance by Romance, Comedy by Comedy, Fanservice by FANSERVICE - and by Ecchi standards, the Manyuu Hikenchou Blu-ray Specials are a Master Class in SERVICING the FANS. If you have any love for Oppai in your heart, than this anime is definitely for you. Need more convincing? Ok then.... Story: Who really cares/10 While this show does indeed have a story and actually managed to keep me interested, it’s QUITE obvious what it was going for rightfrom the beginning and doesn’t let story get in the way of all the fun. In a Tokugawa type era, Breasts mean everything… literally. If you have them, your living large and a king among peasants. If you don’t have them, your the lowest form of poor and looked down upon. Putting aside my inner Realist and putting on my Misogyny hat… THIS social system fuckin’ rules! Art: K-Cups/10 Second best thing about this show besides the actual perverted themes themselves is without a doubt the art and animation quality. Every bit of breast-craft that Hoods Entertainment had learned while making Seikon no Qwaser seasons 1 and 2 was molded, honed, and perfected with Manyuu Hikenchou. In particular, the nipple and breast design of the show I believe is a cut-above all others. Compare recent tits from ecchi like Freezing, DxD, and Queen’s Blade to the ones crafted in Manyuu Hikenchou, they seem to be “too firm” in design, almost stiff with low-detail nipples that don’t flow... Manyuu doesn’t have that problem. Sound: Bounce/10 Manyuu took the sexiness up another level with the inclusion of Realistic-like “flop/smack” sound effects whenever a pair of tits came out and started to move around, a much better option than the usual anime trope of having a comical “boing!” noise. Just another example of how damn much perverted attention to detail Kaneko and Hoods gave the project. While individual episodes in the series could very in quality and animation (some scenes could admittedly look rough occasionally), ALL is forgiven after watching the OVAs packed with this show’s blu-ray releases. Gods honest, I would completely believe someone if they told me that half of this show’s budget was allotted right from the beginning solely for work on the OVAs. Reviewing Oppai mastery like this in a text format is an incredible handicap, to get the entire picture with visual examples from the show, I would have to recommend reading my full review. http://fapservice.com/its-so-good-manyuu-hikenchou-ovas-redux/ To be frank, Manyuu Hikenchou's specials (including the picture diaries) will likely be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us Bakunyuu fans.

Ah, Manyuu Hikenchou, the the anime that keeps on giving, fanservice included. The only reason these episodes have to exist is to provide fanservice, plain and simple. That said, are they good? Well, let's hope on and find out, shall we? Story There is no story! There are only random circumstances that place girls in uncomfortable situations just so to titillate male viewers. In almost every episode, there will be a girl that touches another girl's breasts and talks about how big they are. Considering how brazenly they commit sexual harassment on each other, I have to ask: are these girls lesbian for each other? That wouldexplain a lot. (7/10) Characters Once again, Chifusa is forced to endure Kaede's jealousy and interest in her big chest. This specials also add Ouka, who also shares some funny scenes with Kagefusa, providing yet another comedic duo for this series. (7/10) Art Since the primary purpose of this anime is fanservice, the visuals must be of excellent quality and, suffice to say, they do not disappoint. (9/10) Sound Minako Kotobuki is a fine actress. I hope she got a nice paycheck for voicing a character burdened with one of the weirdest superpowers in anime history. Even if she wasn't given much to work with, Mamiko Noto did a fine job as Ouka. I also enjoyed the comedic performances of Aki Toyosaki and Kaoru Mizuhara. If nothing else, you can enjoy this show for the excellent comedic performances of these talented actresses. (8/10) Overall The original Manyuu Hikenchou is a show that you could superficially enjoy for its obvious ridiculousness and genuinely enjoy for the kind of story it was trying to tell. These specials, however, dismiss whatever pathos and gravitas the original series had and go straight towards comedic territory. That doesn't mean they're bad, they're actually kind of enjoyable, but without the depth and nuance of the original series, you might be confused about the show's priorities. Still, if you're in the mood for some comedy about breasts, then I recommend this show. (7//10)
