Ten years ago, Shinobu Handa and Momoko Naitou met on a playground and became friends. Before their separation, they shared a kiss and a promise that they would see each other again. Years later, Shinobu still remembers that vow, but Momoko has forgotten it. Now the two attend the same school. However, their personalities are complete opposites. Shinobu is a delinquent collecting a string of lovers, but Momoko is a serious student and a member of the disciplinary committee. Shinobu uses her flirtatious nature to try to make Momoko rediscover the bond and feelings they once shared. Various stories of love and lust envelop Momoko and Shinobu's lives. Can these two find their way back to one another? [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Shoujo Sect is a Hentai, Yuri, Romance, Drama with plenty of girl-on-girl action and a story to back. If you’re under 18 and Yuri isn’t you thing; then look elsewhere. It is set in an all-girls private school, with the story being about the questionable relationships between girls. Watching this short OVA is basically like watching a collection of short-stories, as each relationship offers a different story from the last. However this anime tends to spend little time developing each relationship (more time on sex) and the transitions between relationships isn’t as smooth as it should be. Although it is predominantly the 1st episode that’s affectedby these issues, as the remaining 2 episodes have more of a focus on the main relationship. It’s a shame this OVA series couldn’t have been any longer, because then it wouldn’t have felt so rushed. This being a Yuri anime, there is one thing to expect from the characters and that is ‘lesbians’. With an all-girl cast, it is quite interesting seeing what kind of roles they play in the story but there only seem to be two that really matter (Shinobu Honda & Momoko Naitou), whilst the rest that were introduced in the beginning can be entirely forgotten. The quality of the animation isn’t anything special but it did a great job adapting the manga; from the cute character designs to the sensual sex scenes. Though there are some inconsistencies that can be noticed, by a keen eye. The quality of the sound is somewhat difficult to judge because there isn’t much of a notable BGM or SFX used. Although during the sex scenes expect to hear a contrast of moans and classical piano compositions. Overall Shoujo Sect certainly offers the fans of this kind of anime what they wanted, an all-girls school featuring some very intimate relationships. It’s a shame that due to its short length, a lot of story had to be left out but that doesn’t excuse the studio for changing the story around, which makes it lose the same feel as the manga. At least it came to a satisfying conclusion, even though I felt some of the sex scenes were too short.

When a hentai meets a plot, beautiful events occur...and whats more beautiful than f/f? Hentais have been accused of being many things. Well-written is never amongst them. However this presentation is like a loose cannon cop...it just breaks all the rules. Like that line? Thanks, so did I. Shoujo Sect is by far the best written, fully fleshed out plot hentai animu I have ever seen, and yes, thats almost by default. The character development and story told over the course of a little over 60 minutes was well done by not only hentai standards, but by short 3-episode OVA standards overall. We began the first episodelearning about an unrequited love between the two female leads. This is brought about and dangled before us the entire series in the form of a flashback from their childhood in which only one of them (lets call her the 'lover' and the other the 'lovee') remembers. They reunite years later in school so begins their journey towards rediscovering one another. To impede said journey are two loyal mistresses, a deviant teacher, and one crooked ho. Yeah, and a partridge in a pear tree, lets not forget that. All of them contribute, in their own way, to the new developing emotions within the two female leads that ultimately determine their relationship. So thats the synopsis. Longest you ever read for a hentai, right? Just when things are starting to look real good though, the artwork of this piece will tie you to the ground. To be fair, its by no means bad...the word I'm looking for is inconsistent. One moment a pair of breasts are flat/A-cups and then the next they're huge! Same goes for the rest of the body. The eyes, the hair, the expressions and backgrounds all were inconsistent. It messed with me a bit because some of the settings were drawn well and created the perfect atmosphere for the scene while others were dull and took away from it. Where the artwork failed on setting, the music made up for with power left to spare. Classical music is often regarded as beautiful so why not have it as your main set list in a tale between to women? The choice of "Flight of the Bumblebee" playing during the series' one and only rape-ish scene was very fitting given the style of music. Well thought out and well played. Overall, this is a series worth checking out, regardless of your initial attraction to it. For hentai lovers there are a couple intense scenes of f/f. For romantics, myself included, there is a brief yet powerful teacher/student relation, incestuous sisters, and the climax scene at the very end. For anime fanatics, this is a package deal and, clocking in at a little over an hour, well worth the time to explore. Ah, and just as a final note, there is a scene in the third episode where, if you're like me, you're begging for a punch to fly. It flies. High Five.
