It's safe to say everyone acknowledges the influence of Studio Ghilbi, however, if you are here, you are either digging a hell of a lot further down than most people would for a hidden gem or you are just a really hardcore completionist. Which would lead me to believe one would come across this title with not a lot in mind. Please discontinue that mindset, as this music video is what you have been longing for in your journey. Piece by Aragaki Yui MV is one of the best music videos I have come across in a while, it will be up there with Egao, though thiswas probably better to some degree. The video composes itself of a vibrant diligent but abstract piece of work about this young lady's life optimist usually centring around shoes. It is very basic, and won't offer a lot since a music video cannot do that without it being tedious, however, the presentation and execution of such were pretty much immaculate as expected from Ghibli's production values. To emphasise, it really does elaborate on the visible optimist within the video, only making it stronger. I didn't understand the lyrics (I don't understand Japanese), though I would imagine I am not totally far off, especially with what the visuals offer. One day I will probably look into the lyrics of such though. Anyways, I'd imagine anyone who stumbles across this entry will love the music video. I suppose I have a personal bias to more relaxed music, though it is easily some of the best even for its kind. I wouldn't skip this one if I were you. 9/10.
